Relief of Sciatica

You Relieve Sciatic pain many different ways. I will list ONLY four ways below:

Walking

Take the time out for a brisk 30 minute to 45 minutes walk. This will help your pelvis balance, muscles relax and help with your range of motion. Walk as long as it's not painful. 

Self- Massage

Place your right and left hand on either side of your thigh wrapping your hands. Start with light gentle pressure to warm up the muscles. Pull your fingers from back side of your knee all the way to your hip. Don't forget to get the lateral and inner side of the leg. Reverse and massage the front of your leg all the way down the feet.

Ice & Heat

Place ice on the area for 10 minutes to reduce swelling & inflammation. Replace with heat for 10 minutes and you improve the blood supply which helps the healing. Alternate 3 times in each cycle.

Stretch

The tightness of the piriformis muscle is the most common cause of sciatic pain. This muscle is located deep in the buttocks behind the Gluteals. By stretching the Piriformis muscle it will relieve the tension of the muscle pressing on the sciatic nerve that runs through the muscle. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds. Repeat until you feel relief.

Some describe Sciatica as a sharp shooting pain starting in the lower back and going down the leg. Typically the pain goes below the knee to the foot. The pain is quickly traveling along the course of the nerve.

What to do to relieve Computer Neck Pain??





Drink water

When you ask someone how much water should you drink we typically hear to drink eight glasses (8oz) of water a day but that has changed. Now, the recommendations state that men should drink more water than women. Men drink 12 glasses of water a day while women drink 9 glasses of water a day. Every men and women bodies are made up differently. Drink water according to how much you weigh and if you are physically active.

Stretch
 
Being more flexible is a wonderful feeling. Your muscle aren't tight and angry at you for sitting at your desk all day.


Desk Stretches




Exercise
 
Aim for 30mins a day of physical activity. If you are looking to lose weight consult a physical trainer for proper assistants and your doctor to check vitals.

Massage

Do you have computer NECK?

 
Computer neck is a condition that you may experience if you are sitting at your desk for long periods of time hunched over your keyboard trying to see your monitor more clearly.
 
You are consistently feeling tension, tightness and pain in your neck and shoulders. If very uncomfortable and can lead to chronic neck pain.
Your muscles are shorting and becoming tight and weak. Do neck exercises daily to strengthen neck muscles.
 
Things you should change at your desk if you are experiencing weak neck muscles:
Change the arrangement your desk to were your feet do rest on the floor. Elbows should be at a 90° angle and forearms parallel to the floor. Your monitor should be directly in front of you.

Some situations which are not negative ones may still be perceived as stressful. This is because we think we are not completely prepared to cope with them effectively.
